Fig Sweet Onion and Rosemary Jam on Rosemary Cheese

Posted by Mark Cockerille on

Greetings from the  Museum Store.  I hope everyone is watching the new "What's Instore Fridays" segment where we show you products we carry in all  three of our stores.  We also will show you quick party ideas, recipes and more.  Today I want to share the recipe for the Rosemary Cheese I made on our first segment https://www.facebook.com/MuseumOfYorkCounty/videos/625087838196572.  Making this pretty cheese with jam is so easy yet very elegant.  You will get the compliments at your next get together. Once you make the cheese you will let it sit a few hours or overnight then put the Fig Sweet Onion Jam on top.  You only need about 1/2 the jar so it will go along way. The company is named Sallie's Greatest and we carry different jams and syrups that she produces.  So let's get started.. You will need

1 softened block cream cheese.

1 4oz plain good goat cheese

1 tsp cracked black pepper

1 Tbls  fresh Rosemary, chopped

2 tsp Cloister honey

Mix all together well and wrap in clear wrap and put in refrigerator..  Pull out  1/2 hour before serving.  I like to take a knife and whip up the sides a little.  Scoop about 1/2 to 3/4 jar of the Fig and Sweet onion jam on top and serve with pita chips.  Tip:  Use fresh cracked pepper  if possible.  Keep checking back for more recipes and ideas on entertaining!
