Individual Peach Trifles Make It Special
Posted by Mark Cockerille on
You can make a glorious trifle in the big trifle bowl you have. It garners great oohs and ahhs to see the fruit and pudding layers and the soaked cake through the glass. But when you are having a more intimate get-together, it is even more special for the guests to get their own little trifle. You can make them in champagne glasses or even ice tea glasses. In this month's episode of What's InSTORE Fridays, I use mini trifle bowls. So cute! A general recipe for mine is below using store bought ingredients, but you should really use fresh in-season fruit.
This summer, the peaches are really good! I like the China Pearls. I used to think a peach was a peach, but have come to learn there are many different varieties. The China Pearl is a white cling-free peach.
Also, I hope you make a trip to the Museum Store to see our new space related items. We have some new really cool Mars and Moon shaped puzzles featuring images from the Archives of NASA. Also be sure to check out our new astronaut keychain. When you press the button, you'll hear Neal Armstrong's famous words "One small step for mankind...."
